What is a puppy reservation deposit?

A puppy reservation deposit is a non-refundable amount paid to officially hold a specific puppy or a spot on a current or upcoming litter at Boise Doodle Co. Once your deposit is received and approved, that puppy or spot is reserved for your family and is removed from our available list.

Is my reservation deposit refundable?

Reservation deposits at Boise Doodle Co are non-refundable because we are holding a puppy or pick spot specifically for you and turning away other families. In some cases, with prior approval, deposits may be transferred to a different litter or puppy, but they are not refunded as cash.

Can I transfer my deposit to a different litter or puppy?

In most situations, deposits can be transferred one time to another litter or puppy with prior approval from Boise Doodle Co. Transfers are not guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis to make sure it’s fair to you, the puppy, and other waiting families.

How much is the reservation deposit and what does it go toward?

The reservation deposit amount is applied directly toward your puppy’s total adoption investment. It is not an extra fee. The remaining balance is due before or at go-home, based on the payment terms outlined on your invoice and in your signed purchase agreement.

What payment methods do you accept for deposits and final balance?

Boise Doodle Co accepts several payment options including debit and credit cards through our website, as well as third-party options such as Klarna or Afterpay when available. Details about accepted payment methods and due dates are listed on your invoice and reservation page at checkout.

When is the final balance due for my puppy?

The final balance for your puppy is typically due before or at go-home, which is usually around 8 weeks of age unless otherwise specified. Exact timelines and payment due dates are clearly outlined on our reservation and payment page and in your purchase contract so you know what to expect.

Does placing a deposit mean I am approved to adopt a puppy?

All families must first complete our application and receive approval before placing a reservation deposit. This helps us make sure our puppies are matched with homes that understand their needs, training, grooming, and long-term commitment.
