All parent dogs in our program undergo extensive health testing appropriate for their breed, including genetic screening and orthopedic evaluations when age-appropriate. A puppy not having a health guarantee is a pricing structure decision, not a reflection of reduced health standards or care. -

Every puppy—regardless of price—is raised in our home with the same intentional care, early socialization, and handling. Lower pricing reflects timing, availability, or program considerations—not a reduction in quality, health testing, or ethical breeding practices.

To reserve your puppy, we require a $1,000 non-refundable deposit (or 50% if the puppy is under 8 weeks old). For puppies over 8 weeks, the full purchase price plus Idaho sales tax is due to secure your spot. Deposits can be paid via Stripe on our website or through Good Dog checkout if you’d like to use Klarna financing. Once reserved, your puppy is officially held for your family.

At Boise Doodle Co., puppies priced at $2,500 and above come with a health guarantee that reflects the level of intentional breeding, advanced health testing, veterinary care, and hands-on raising that go into our full program.
This guarantee is designed to protect the puppy first, while allowing us to operate responsibly and sustainably.
Veterinary Examination Requirement
Puppies must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of go-home.
If a puppy goes home on a Saturday or Sunday, the buyer has until Tuesday at 6:00 PM MST to complete the veterinary exam.
Any health concerns must be reported promptly.
All veterinary findings must be reviewed by my veterinarian, and the puppy may be required to be evaluated by my veterinary team before any determination is made.
What Is Covered
This health guarantee applies to genetic or congenital conditions that significantly affect the puppy’s quality of life and were not known or detectable at the time of placement.
If a qualifying condition is confirmed:
No refunds are given.
A credit equal to the purchase price will be issued toward another puppy or dog from my program, available immediately or within 12 months, subject to availability.
Parasites & Common Puppy Illnesses
Giardia, Coccidia, and other intestinal parasites are not covered under this health guarantee.
These organisms are extremely common in puppies and can be contracted or become clinically active due to:
Stress
Travel and transport
Environmental changes
Diet transitions
Vet visits or grooming exposure
Even puppies who previously showed no symptoms can test positive once stress impacts the gut.
As a courtesy and gesture of goodwill:
If a puppy tests positive for Giardia or Coccidia, I will contribute up to $100 toward prescribed medications.
This contribution applies to medication costs only and does not extend the health guarantee or imply coverage of the condition.
What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered under this guarantee:
Intestinal parasites beyond the medication contribution noted above
Illness related to stress, environment, or exposure after placement
Conditions caused by neglect, injury, improper nutrition, or post-placement veterinary decisions

Regardless of pricing or guarantee status:
I will always take a puppy back if it does not work out.
No puppy from my program will ever need to be rehomed or surrendered without my involvement.
