  • We provide a go-home checklist covering crate setup, feeding schedules, grooming tools, and routines to help your puppy settle in smoothly.

  • Absolutely. We are available long after go-home day for questions about training, grooming, nutrition, and life transitions.

  • Good Dog is a trusted platform that provides an extra layer of security and financing options for buyers. Boise Doodle Company lists select litters on Good Dog, and families can check out through their platform using Klarna monthly payments. Please note: if your initial conversation and application begins on Good Dog, their rules require that we finish the purchase there. If you apply directly on our website, you’ll bypass Good Dog’s fees while still receiving the same Boise Doodle health guarantee.

  • To reserve your puppy, we require a $1,000 non-refundable deposit (or 50% if the puppy is under 8 weeks old). For puppies over 8 weeks, the full purchase price plus Idaho sales tax is due to secure your spot. Deposits can be paid via Stripe on our website, Zelle or through Good Dog checkout. You can use AfterPay or Klarna Financing through our website checkout system or through GoodDog.

    Once reserved, your puppy is officially held for your family.

The items can vary some depending on travel arrangements and availablity Sometimes you get extra surprises! Sometimes not everything fits for airline travel. We do our best to make sure you have what you need!

  • Puppy is started on first dose of monthly worming and flea/tick prevention. We use Credelio Quatro. You will need to get a refill to be started 30 days later from your vet. Detailed instructions in your go home book.

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable but transferable to a future litter within 12 months. This holds your place in line and ensures your puppy is reserved exclusively for you.

  • Puppies come with a comprehensive health guarantee, including genetic coverage as outlined in your contract. Parents are fully tested through Embark or Paw Print Genetics. Please Refer to our Health Guarantee page for additional details

  • All puppies are sold as pet-only unless breeding rights are approved in writing. Spay/neuter documentation is required per contract terms.

  • Our optional Stay & Train program starts at $450 per week and includes crate training, leash work, and socialization. Puppies stay in a safe, family setting for continued structure and care.

  • We offer nationwide delivery options via flight nanny, ground transport, or local pickup in Caldwell, Idaho. All travel arrangements must be finalized and paid 7 days prior to departure.

  • Deposits and payments are non-refundable, but we will always take one of our puppies back at any stage in life if circumstances change.

  • Boise Doodle Co. reserves the right to first pick of any litter and to refuse sale if placement is not in the puppy’s best interest.

  • Puppies come pre-socialized using the Badass Breeder and Puppy Culture methods. Early crate and potty training are started before going home.

Policies

  • Just yourself and a calm mindset. Your puppy goes home with what they need, and everything else is outlined on this page and in your Go Home Guide.

  • Before Go Home Day. Consistency matters, and switching foods too quickly can upset your puppy’s stomach.

  • Once scheduling opens, you’ll reserve your pickup time using the Calendly link on this page.

  • All puppies are trained to understand nighttime is for rest, not play. We remove food after 6:00 pm and water after 7:00 pm, which helps with potty training. Puppies are crated with comfort items (blanket with mom’s scent) to reinforce calm, quiet nights.

  • Crate training is strongly recommended. It provides safety, structure, and emotional regulation.

  • It’s best to keep the first few days quiet. Too many people can overwhelm a new puppy.

  • Crying, waking up, or needing reassurance is normal. This does not mean you’re doing anything wrong. Stick to routine, offer comfort without chaos, and keep things calm.

  • Right away—but gently. Focus on routine, crate comfort, potty breaks, and bonding. Formal training comes later.

  • Most puppies begin to settle within 3–7 days as routine, consistency, and familiarity build confidence.

  • Plan for frequent potty breaks—especially after waking, eating, drinking, or play—to set your puppy up for success.

  • Yes. Puppies often sleep more during their first week home as they process new sights, sounds, and experiences.

  • Soft chews, enrichment toys, and safe teething options are ideal. Avoid overly hard chews in the early months.

  • Pickup times are scheduled and structured to keep puppies calm and avoid overstimulation. Please arrive on time.

  • Crying, restlessness, or needing reassurance is completely normal. Stick to routine and keep things calm.

  • This is common during transitions. As long as your puppy is drinking water and acting normally, don’t panic.

  • Activate prior to pickup and send me a visual of your activation. Your puppy goes home with 30 days included, but activation is required.

  • You can always reach out. Support doesn’t end at pickup.

  • Please do NOT put your puppy on the ground on any public surface. No sidewalks, parks, public grass. Limit all exposure. General rule is all paws off the floor until fully vaccinated.

    Your puppy can have Fully vacinated visitors to your home from people you trust.

  • Yes! They need to see new people, smells, sounds. Everything. Carry them or have them in an enclosed stroller so you reduce the risk of Parvo. Take them in the car and with you to do things at pet friendly places! It’s important for their socialization. Continue doing this through the first year!

  • This is common. Allow your puppy to adjust at their own pace and avoid forcing interactions.

  • Follow the feeding guidelines provided in your Go Home Guide. Appetite may vary slightly during transitions. I feed 8-12 week old puppies 3x a day. Last feeding at 4:00

  • You’re not alone. Adjusting takes time for both of you. Reach out with questions and lean into routine and consistency.

  • Routine supports nervous system regulation, digestion, sleep, and confidence—especially during the first weeks at home.
